
They say growth happens outside your comfort zone—this week, I found out just how true that is 😶🌫️
One of my goals for next year is to really push myself to try new things and see what I’m capable of. So, when Elliott Benson kindly asked me to join the careers panel and give a speech to the year 10s and 11s at his old school, my first instinct was an emphatic absolutely not kids can be savage. 😂
But I’m so glad I said yes. I talked about my journey into IT and how I didn’t test well in school—but that didn’t stop me. I shared with them that not being academic doesn’t mean you’re stuck. There are hands-on paths, like apprenticeships, where you can learn by doing. Just because school wasn’t your thing doesn’t mean success is off the table.
