Because if you’re using Sage 200, the business is usually dependent on it.
If it stutters, dispatch slows, stock gets messy, and the phones light up.
Here’s how we approach it with clients - starting with the lowest risk option first:
1) Sage 200 Standard (Online) — if the setup allows
First we assess how “heavy” your current Sage 200 usage really is (modules, integrations, reporting, workflows).
Some businesses are surprised to learn the Online edition fits their needs — others need the full Professional capability.
2) Keep Sage 200, change the delivery method (hosted in the cloud)
For more complex environments, we often keep Sage 200 Professional but run it in a properly managed hosted setup.
Goal: remote access + stability + minimal disruption.
3) Cloud-native ERP (new platform)
For some businesses, the long-term move is a cloud-native ERP (often Dynamics 365 Business Central or similar).
That isn’t “putting Sage in the cloud” — it’s a platform change programme and needs proper discovery, testing, and a controlled cutover.
Our rule:
If Sage is the heartbeat of the business, every change gets a safety plan.
